RX2 DSAT and DTT Receivers - Satellite and Terrestrial

The RX2 series is designed for monitoring DVB broadcasts in a professional environment.

The DSAT version contains two micro-processor controlled commercial satellite receivers with a VideoGuard (Sky) decorders for use with smart cards.

The DTT version contains two micro-processor controlled Free-to-Air digital terrestrial MHEG units without smart cards.

A choice of options include SDI digital video output, AES/EBU digital audio output, dual video output, computer control, automatic LNB switching and remote control over CAT-5 network cable.

Front Panel:

  • 3-digit thumbwheel per receiver to select the channel number
  • 8-button control pad to emulate an IR handset
  • Power-on LED
Rear Panel:
  • Audio Left on 3-pin XLR per receiver giving balanced audio
  • Audio Right on 3-pin XLR per receiver giving balanced audio
  • Video on BNC 75-ohm, PAL 1v peak to peak
  • UHF "F" connector for each receiver  
  • IEC power input for 90V to 240V AC

Features:

Automatic reset to selected channels using various “Watchdog” procedures following:

  • Failure of power, signal disturbance, broadcaster initiated software upgrades, QPSK lock
  • Loss of audio will initiate various levels of reset including total power-down and power-up resetting to thumbwheel select channels.


Construction

Each unit is costructed in a heavy-gauge, anodised, aluminium case with an integral cooling fan.

The front panel is blue stove-enamel with white screen-printed lettering.

They are designed to be used in standard 19 inch (483 mm) racking and are 1U (1 3/4 inches, 45 mm) in height, 450 mm (17 3/4 inches) in depth.
